New spring workcamp in Germany!

The climate change and the worldwide injustice makes it necessary to think about our present way of life with a high level of consumption. If you want to get to know a community following the example of the early Christians, where all members of the community share everything: money and goods, time, work, political activities – then it will be the right workcamp for you. The ”Basisgemeinde” is a Christian community of about 65 people — among them families, singles, youths and children — situated in a small village in northern Germany near Kiel. The members work together within the community — in the production of wooden toys, in the kitchen in the kinder garden and as caretakers. Trips to Kiel and Hamburg are possible, you can walk to the Baltic Sea.
Work: Construction work at the house, production of wooden toys, household and kitchen work
Study: Co-operative economy, living in a community, religion, political activity and faith as sustainable answers to a world of increasing economical injustice, exploitation and poverty, environmental destruction, violence and war
Accommodation: In caravans, particularly in dormitory rooms may be in the living area of people from the Basisgemeinde. The group room of the workcamp is in the middle of the living area of the Basisgemeinde, that means mutual consideration is necessary.
